This was to be expected by those who understand the root causes of the problems. Throwing money around and creating more government programs is both simplistic and damaging to the economy. Of course, the administration claims that we would have been much worse off without these efforts. You cant improve this situation by adding to our mountain of public debt for the benefit of big banks and other special interests. The American people know this. When will Washington learn?In addition, the presidents plans for healthcare reform or health insurance reform - are becoming more and more unpopular as details are examined. But because of all the alarmist rhetoric, politicians in Washington feel obligated to pass something, even if it doesnt help. Rarely are liberty and prosperity at greater risk than when politicians feel they must do something. It is frightening to watch Washington toy with our healthcare purely for political reasons.However, the saddest shortcoming of this administration is its utter failure to pursue a more peaceful foreign policy. Just last week up to 90 people, apparently mostly civilians, were killed in Afghanistan in an airstrike, and the violence is only getting worse. The administration is mulling over how many more troops they will send as part of their Afghan Surge with advisors getting it exactly backwards. They qualify sending fewer troops as high-risk and sending more troops as low-risk. This is not the perception at all if you were to ask the families of those being sent over. The best answer would be to stop risking any of our troops for the sake of what is, for all intents and purposes, a violent occupation, helping no one.But all of these problems and their wrong-headed solutions come from one greater problem - which is not understanding the reasons that we are here. The economy is in bad shape because of too much government intervention producing a myriad of unintended consequences and perverse incentives. Healthcare is broken because the doctor-patient relationship has been broken down by hyper regulation and too much government interference. Afghanistan is a mess because they ignored the mission approved by Congress - to seek out those who attacked us on 9/11. They have instead gotten sidetracked with nebulous interventionist tasks such as promoting democracy and nation building. Eight years later, there is no real progress. The Soviets bankrupted themselves fighting in the mountains and caves of Afghanistan and were about to do the same. If we would just look to history it would be self-evident that there is nothing left to win in Afghanistan, and everything to lose. Most of all, we need to understand that we dont understand Afghan culture and politics, and for that reason alone, intervening in their affairs is unlikely to produce positive results. The best thing we could possibly do now is to bring our troops home, from Afghanistan, from Iraq, from Japan, from Germany, from all occupied countries, and concentrate on mending badly damaged relationships around the world. Free and honest trade has always been the best way to do that, without fail. Not understanding the benefits of peace, freedom, and nonintervention will always bring about catastrophe.

A woman calls in saying she is disabled and she is permanent here and she even has a British passport. She says she had indefinite leave to remain and now she has had a divorce with her husband. As she is disabled, she twice had a stroke and her left side doesnt work and now she is on benefits Income Support and Disability Living Allowance. She says she wants to call her parents over, can she do so, she is educated. Harjap says as long as you are on the benefits, they wont let you sponsor them. She says wont they allow it for my parents, with a 10 year visa. Cant they stay permanent? Harjap says no they cant as they will say who will look after them and their costs. She says I will. Harjap says you are yourself being supported by the government. It all goes quiet for a bit. Then she is back with saying she will do something with the costs and her home. Harjap says they dont agree with this, your annual, weekly costs, the government gives it to you. If you didnt have that, you will have no money for yourself for living and food. They support one and another two more will come. They dont allow this. She says if I start working, will they allow it. Harjap says you will have to work, stop your social security, your parents age must be over 65 and you parents should have some social income and bad wellbeing. She says they dont have any income as they are retired. Harjap says they must have a pension. She says yes they have a pension. Harjap says that is their income. She says my mum is 70 years old and my dad is around 80. Harjap says that is fine but they get some income. They will refuse it on their income. It will be better if they keep coming and going as visitors. She says it is hard, cant they stay permanent with me. Harjap says they wont allow it. She says cant they be permanent on any grounds. Harjap says no, people get permanent after being here illegal for 14 years, didnt you hear it, that woman came since 1992 and still she is not permanent. If they got ill or something tomorrow, you havent got the costs for your own medicine, how will you give theirs? She says I cant do private as I am on benefits. Harjap says they wont even allow your parents to go into the hospital. She says so as long as I am on benefits, they cant be permanent. Harjap says no. She says if I work, they will stop all my benefits. Harjap says yes true. She says I cant do this much work. Harjap says let them keep coming and going then. She says I am not well, they can be with me. Can they get benefits too? Harjap says yes, do this, put everyone on benefits and bring everyone, even the animals. The government is here for nothing else, people just want money making schemes. If you love your parents that much, you go and live there. You can go and live there if you love your parents. She says if I go, where will I get money from. Harjap says its not your parents you love, its the money. The £70 you get per week is what you love, if you parents come, put them on benefit, these kind of things dont happen. She says ok, dont matter. Harjap says it dont matter, we will try to make a scheme like this, this is a brilliant scheme I will tell the government, extra benefit scheme, in our village there are 10/12 extra, we will bring them too for social security, someone has a bad leg, someone doesnt give milk, even for the goats we will have a scheme. When you speak like this and the government is listening, what is the point of this, the 2 of them, lets kick them out of here. You want your parents to come, have benefits given, medicines given, marry you children and bring all the wedding possessions, dont you do anything for this country, all the poor people, kick them out, your schemes are very good ideas, India can be hit, that is why India says go out of here and die, the people from here say go to India and die. You sometimes say to me you make us laugh but sometimes, you make me laugh, look at the kind of schemes that come. The idea is very wrong, your brains are number 1, you should get an award.
